Bertie is a 1930/40' bear. He's a gorgeous character and is a delight to hug as he has soft cotton plush fur.... he's 20" tall and is in lovely vintage condition.
Bertie has been carefully cleaned and smells nicely of bear with no strong perfume smells. He has been loved and played with over the years and has some gentle fur loss, mainly on his tummy....Please take a look at all the photos as they also form part of the description.
Bertie is five way jointed and they all work well....He has glass amber coloured eyes and they have been resewn in as original so they are nice and secure. His nose stitching has a few small stitches missing and I decided to leave them as I think it suits his character and age but if you would prefer I can replace a couple of stitches, please just let me know.
His paw pads are original and made of Rexine, As is common with Rexine some of the top surface has aged leaving the base fabric showing but they are still in great condition with no holes.
Bertie comes with his hand knitted cardigan and scarf.
His price includes next day special delivery within the UK and I will despatch him within 2 days of cleared payment. He will be sent in a strong cotton drawstring bag, bubble wrapped for extra protection and put into a strong cardboard box for transit.
