Hello! I'm Carol and I adore old bears!
I have always loved Teddy bears and started a modest collection in my 20's. As I've aged my tastes have changed to collecting the older bears that have so much character and after amassing a HUGE collection of bears I casually started selling some on eBay as my house was slowly turning into a huggery..It was time to share the love! I soon found that they were very popular and decided that it was time to start a business and set up my own web page.
My eBay name is cazzie888 if anyone would like to follow me on there, I have gained 100% feedback since 2009 and I continually strive to give my customers the best possible buying experience.
I gained a lot of skills working in my Family's business for 17 years restoring and repairing leather goods and when I started to collect more and more bears it seemed a natural progression to turn my hand to restoring the bears too....
I look for the old bears that have that 'something special' about them and I love getting them to a state where they are huggable again.... I bought many of my favourite old bears when they were in a shocking state (see 'The twins" on my playtime page!) but it is so rewarding to clean and restore them and see what a difference can be made. It's an incredibly satisfying job to do and I enjoy every day that's spent in my Teddy hospital.
I'm also an artist and keen photographer and I enjoy bringing all my creativity together for the purpose of giving all these old bears a new lease of life. I hope you enjoy looking at my website and have a chuckle at the bear's antics too....
