Poor Hetty, I do feel for her. Opening up her face to begin restoration is a daunting step but I’m eager to move past this stage swiftly so she can look beautiful once again. Deep breaths and here we go rebuilding her snout.
My biggest concern with her restoration is her eyes. As a 1920s W J Terry bear she has stunning hand blown glass eyes that are completely irreplaceable should they break. Over time the wires securing them can become extremely fragile so I decided it would be wise to leave them in place. Instead I’m rebuilding her snoutie without removing all her stuffing or disturbing her eyes.
